Legacy Fighting Alliance Postpones LFA 84, Currently Reviewing LFAs 85, 86

The hits just keep coming around the MMA community, as the Legacy Fighting Alliance will be holding off on its upcoming March event.

On Friday, the organization announced via press release that LFA 84 has been postponed until further notice due to concerns regarding the coronavirus. The event was slated to take place on March 20 at the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix. According to the LFA, it will be rescheduled at a later date to be determined.

Additionally, the upcoming events of LFA 85 and LFA 86, in Colorado and South Dakota on April 3 and April 17, respectively, are currently being reviewed by the promotion. While they may be also delayed at a later date, officials in the LFA have been working with state governments, commissions and the venues themselves to determine whether these events can go on as scheduled.

The LFA joins a litany of other MMA organizations that have at least temporarily suspended operation in light of the coronavirus. Bellator MMA scratched the Bellator 241 mere hours before it took place on Friday, while other companies such as Combate Americas and One Championship are suspending events until they can proceed with different broadcasting arrangements. However, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is still going on with UFC Fight Night 170 on Saturday, and it will likely be the only sporting event taking place around the world.
