One Championship middleweight and light heavyweight champion Aung La N Sang is set to defend his 185-pound title against undefeated Mohammad Karaki on Oct. 26 at Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar, the promotion announced on Thursday.
Sang (23-10 1 NC) is coming off of a fifth-round knockout over former light heavyweight champion Ken Hasegawa in June. Sang has become a homegrown star for the promotion, and has rattled off four victories in a row since a decision loss to Vitaly Bigdash last year, which Sang avenged in his very next fight.
Karaki (9-0) has remained undefeated in nine bouts since debuting as a professional mixed martial artist back in 2013. Out of his nine MMA victories, only one has gone the distance. The 27-year-old Karaki will be making his One Championship debut against Sang in October.
