Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight Jake Matthews is doing his best on Twiiter to get the attention of another welterweight, Sage Northcutt.
The 23 year-old Australian initially reached out to Northcutt on Twitter on July 19 with a cheeky photoshopped image of the pair standing side by side above a “The Ultimate Fighter – Young Guns!” banner.
Northcutt didn’t reply, so Matthews tried his hand again, asking “Super Sage” not to ignore him.
Dear Mr Northcutt, your normally very polite, but I’m sure you know it’s rude to ignore folks.@sagenorthcutt @ufc pic.twitter.com/UK7juCjl2W

Matthews and Northcutt are two of the youngest fighters on the roster, both fight in the welterweight division and both are riding three-fight winning streaks. Matthews is coming off a first-round submission win over Shinsho Anzai at UFC Fight Night 132 in Singapore last month. The 22 year-old Northcutt picked up a second round knockout win over Zak Ottow at UFC Fight Night 133 earlier this month.
