Nate Diaz, Clay Guida Reportedly Involved in Scuffle at Combate Americas Event

An altercation involving Nate Diaz, Clay Guida and others allegedly occurred at a Combate Americas event in Los Angeles on Friday night.

Guida’s teammate, “The Ultimate Fighter 27” competitor Tyler Diamond, Diaz pushed Guida from behind during Combate Americas 20 “Mexico vs. USA,” and a scuffle ensued from there. Diamond claims he attempted to step in to break up the confrontation only to be surrounded by members of Diaz’s “little entourage.”

Diamond then claims that Diaz landed the “Stockon Slap” while one of the other members of the group “rabbit punched” him. The incident has since been confirmed by MMAFighting.com.

Diaz attended the event to support teammate Chris Avila, who dropped a unanimous decision to Horacio Gutierrez, while Diamond and Guida were present to watch Team Alpha Male training partner Anthony Avila. Avila took a decision win against Jose Luis Verdugo.

Combate Americas officials are planning to investigate the incident, according to the report.

It’s not the first time Diaz has had an altercation with a member of the Guida family. After Clay Guida suffered a knockout loss to Brian Ortega in June 2016, Clay, his brother Jason Guida and some other Team Alpha Male members got into it backstage backstage at the Forum in Los Angeles.
